Welcome to Fluenex. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal and audio data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, and secure your information when you use the Fluenex application.

1. Information We Collect

To deliver a high-quality, personalized speaking experience, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Credentials: When you register or sign in using Google OAuth, we collect your name, email address, and profile avatar. This is used to maintain your account statistics, day streaks, and custom settings.
  • Audio & Speech Data: During speaking practice or AI Call sessions, we stream microphone audio from your device using WebRTC. This audio is processed immediately to generate transcriptions (Speech-to-Text) and dialogue responses.
  • Diagnostic & Progress Data: We save metadata about your learning journey, including XP earned, completed roadmaps, vocabulary scores, and streak data.

2. How We Use and Process Your Data

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

  • To run the core voice chat, pronunciation scoring, and situational speech simulations.
  • To display and track your learning progress, day streaks, and diagnostic statistics.
  • To secure your account, authenticate requests, and prevent abuse.

Critical Voice Privacy Commitment: We process your streaming audio in real-time transit to deliver instant speech feedback. We do not save your voice recordings permanently on our servers. Furthermore, we do not sell your voice data or use your raw speech recordings to train general AI models.

3. Sharing and Third-Party Services

Fluenex does not sell, lease, or rent your personal information to marketing firms or third parties. We securely share data only with the following subprocessors necessary to deliver our features:

  • Google Sign-In: For authentication and secure access.
  • Speech & AI Providers: We route real-time text and audio segments securely to API endpoints (such as Groq and Whisper models) to generate transcriptions, grammar feedback, and synthesized responses.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account info (name, email, stats) for as long as your account remains active. You have full control over your data. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated statistics at any time by contacting us directly. Upon confirmation, your data will be permanently purged from our database.

5. Security Measures

We implement secure encryption protocols (HTTPS/SSL), JSON Web Tokens (JWT) validation for all API endpoints, and clean database isolation to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
